Mango & Chipotle Dressing

I love chipotle! And this dressing has a good combination of spicy from the chipotles and sweetness from the mango. Feel free to change the ratios so you get a dressing more/less spicy. This dressing goes great with a salad, but you can also thin it with water or vegetable broth and use it as a marinade for shrimp, chicken or tofu.

about 1 cup of dressing



  • 1-2 chipotles (from a can) + 2 tbsp of the chipotle juice

  • 1 cup ripe mango, fresh or frozen

  • 1 garlic clove or 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • If mango is not sweet, add 1- 2 tsp honey or agave syrup

  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Put all the ingredients in a blender

  2. Season to taste

  3. Use the dressing and store the leftover in a container with a lid and leave it in the fridge. Use it within 5 days. A second option to store the leftover is to add it to an ice cube tray and freeze it, then transfer the cubes to an air tight container and use it as needed.
