Quinoa Breakfast Bowl

If you love chocolate flavour and want to try something new, this recipe is for you!. This is an easy fix for breakfast, snack or light dessert and you can enjoy it cold or hot.

(3 min if you already have cooked quinoa)

2-4 portions



  • 1/2 cup quinoa

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup milk (cow's, soy or almond milk recommended!)

  • 2-3 tsp canned coconut milk

  • 1 tsp cocoa powder

  • Optional: 2 tsp maple syrup or honey (or to taste)


- chopped fruit: strawberry, banana, passion fruit, mango

- Optional: chopped almonds, flax or chia seeds


  1. Cook the quinoa with the water as usual: bring quinoa to a boil and reduce the temperature; cover and let it cook for 15 min.

  2. Mix the milk, coconut milk, cocoa powder and sweetener (if you are using)

  3. Top it with the fruit of your choice.
