1/2 cup quinoa
1 cup water
1 cup milk (cow's, soy or almond milk recommended!)
2-3 tsp canned coconut milk
1 tsp cocoa powder
Optional: 2 tsp maple syrup or honey (or to taste)
Garnish:
- chopped fruit: strawberry, banana, passion fruit, mango
- Optional: chopped almonds, flax or chia seeds
Cook the quinoa with the water as usual: bring quinoa to a boil and reduce the temperature; cover and let it cook for 15 min.
Mix the milk, coconut milk, cocoa powder and sweetener (if you are using)
Top it with the fruit of your choice.
